Taking the step to enter therapy takes courage and strength.
Going through therapy requires dedication, commitment, and hard work. It is not a decision to enter into lightly. When making this decision, you will have many questions. Questions to which you deserve answers so that you can make the best decision for you.
The following are not intended to address all of the questions you may have. Many of them will be personal and unique to you. For these, there is no one answer. The answer will depend on your unique set of circumstances. Please email me at sienna@therapysiennamauve.com or send me a message through the Contact Form.

Deciding to enter therapy takes courage and strength. I work from the belief that everyone is a whole and capable person, and we all need support sometimes. If you are struggling with past or present challenges in your life, together we can move through any unresolved experiences in order to regain balance, heal, and create new possibilities in life.
Many people are under the belief that one needs to be in a crisis or have experienced trauma in order for therapy to be right for them. Therapy is a place to heal from difficult experiences, and it can also be a space to receive continued support in one's life in order to navigate the complexity of being a human being in today’s world. I welcome all people from all walks of life.

The consultation enables me to better understand your needs and what you want to achieve. It is also your opportunity to get to know me and my styles of therapy.

Each session is 50-60 minutes long. I like to allow for a 10 minute buffer in case more comes up at the very end of the session and needs a little more time. With couples I offer 70-90 minute sessions depending on what is needed.
-
Currently I offer Zoom and phone therapy sessions. Holding virtual sessions has proven to :
-Help clients who are juggling a lot and have a hard time getting to an office for therapy
-Help clients who have a lot of anxiety and find it difficult to leave their homes
-Allow clients to be in the comfort of their own home, which can help create more safety and security
I will also be offering in person sessions in the near future for those who prefer this type of therapeutic holding.
-
I do not take insurance, but I do offer superbills for any client that wants to submit this to their insurance company. I have several clients that I provide this for and their insurance companies reimburse them for the therapy sessions at the end of each month. Check with your insurance company to see if they will work with you towards reimbursement for therapy.
